Caterpillar Corner - World's Greatest Shave
Our fabulous and brave Danielle took a very big deep breath last Monday, the 20th November, before having her lovely, long, luscious locks chopped off for an amazing cause, the World’s Greatest Shave, Mission: Possible.
Over the last few months, Danielle has been raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation, who support those impacted by Blood Cancer.
Danielle contributed by cutting off a lot of her very long hair. The children all watched on as Jo from Colour & Co and some of the NCELC staff, all took turns in chopping off Danielle’s locks. After the haircut was done, Danielle explained to the children why she’d had the big haircut and how her hair was going to be used to make wigs for children who are suffering from Leukaemia.
Every day, 53 Australians are told the heartbreaking news that they’ve been diagnosed with a blood cancer, joining more than 135,000 people living with the devastating impact of Australia’s second most diagnosed cancer. They are pretty sad statistics and we are so, so proud of Danielle for being part of this incredible cause to make a difference.
2023 marks 25 years of the World’s Greatest Shave, making it one of Australia’s longest running and most loved fundraising events and how amazing that our very own Danielle has played a part. You’re a legend Danielle!
