Nathalia Planned Activity Group (PAG), joined Numurkah PAG last Friday where they were entertained by the Numurkah Ukulele Club. Recently over 30 members of local angling clubs, from Kyabram, Undera, Euroa, Tatong, Rochester and Nathalia together with senior VFA and VRFish members participated in an outing to Greens Lake, Waranga Basin and the Arcadia Native Fish Hatchery organised by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) fisheries manager Michelle Wenner.  13 large Golden Perch were taken from Greens Lake and released into Waranga Basin at the new boat launching facility at Harriman’s Point as part of the Greens lake salvage operation,...

On Tuesday the 10th of May, the Moira Shire homeschoolers met at the Broken Creek before going on the Nathalia Botanical Walk. We had families from Moama, Kyabram, Shepparton and surrounds join us.  The families learnt about the different trees and shrubs, they found lots of fungi and even spotted some punks on trees, geckoes and wild apricots. New LED hanging lights and fixed flood lights have recently been installed in the plantation area in the main street of Nathalia.The new lighting will be great for everyone going out in the plantation after dark. The floodlights will also be very useful for events such as the New Year’s Eve Carnival and future twilight markets. Spring is an exciting time of year with wildflowers blooming everywhere.
