NSC Year 11 &12 Camp
Our Year 11 and 12 students kicked off the year with an unforgettable Senior School Camp in Melbourne. Two days packed with adventure, laughter, and a whopping 20,000 steps each day!
The journey began bright and early at Shepparton Station for the 6.27 am train, and as soon as we arrived at Southern Cross station, the excitement started. Our students explored the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and the Australian Sports Museum, delving into the captivating world of sports history. Next stop was the Melbourne Museum, where some learned about road safety through the Road to Zero TAC program, while others were enchanted by the Titanic Exhibition. Every group had its own unique and exciting adventure.
After a day of exploration, we all gathered for a delightful dinner at Vapiano in Bourke Street. To add a touch of magic to the evening, Mr. Jamali paid a surprise visit with his wife and son Kai. The night continued with laser tag, bowling, arcade games, and, of course, delicious gelati! We returned to the hotel at 11.00 pm, marking an impressive 15 hours of non-stop activities. Our students took a well-deserved rest.
The next day started with a slightly later morning and an exciting Melbourne Crime Walking Tour, revealing the city's hidden stories. In the afternoon, students had free time to explore Melbourne, creating their own adventures and enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
Our Senior School Camp was more than just a trip; it was an opportunity for students to come together, learn, and have fun. I'm eager to see our senior school students grow in confidence and continue seizing opportunities as they come their way.
Looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
